MECKLENBURG COUNTY, N.C. — Mecklenburg County commissioners will vote Tuesday on spending $140,000 for repairs to a former hotel.
The county says someone stole copper wire and air conditioning units from the former Microtel on Banner Elk Drive.
Mecklenburg County took possession of the property in May, with plans to turn it into supportive housing.
Leaders want to reinstall temporary electrical wiring, and replace the AC units.
