COVID-19 brings split church back together more than 200 years later

CHARLOTTE, N.C. — Throughout the coronavirus pandemic, we have heard and shown dozens of stories about being “Better Together.”

Now, a Charlotte church that was split into two congregations years ago is returning as one this Easter weekend.

First Presbyterian Church in uptown initially split along racial lines, but the pandemic has brought them back together for the first time in more than 200 years.
