Investigators said the Oldsmobile was heading north on Harrisburg Road without its headlights on when it crossed the center line and collided with the Chevrolet, which was traveling south down the road. The Chevrolet’s front and side airbags deployed.
Both vehicles came to a stop facing the same direction in the Chevrolet’s original lane.
According to police, the driver of the Oldsmobile, Tamarkus Brown, was not wearing a seat belt and was pronounced dead at the scene. The driver of the Silverado was hurt, but is expected to be OK.
Investigators said Brown was speeding and they believe he was also impaired.
