Death investigation underway after body found in north Charlotte

CHARLOTTE — Police were on the scene of a death investigation Wednesday morning after a body was found in north Charlotte.

According to the Charlotte-Mecklenburg Police Department, officers were called before dawn to the scene along Reagan Drive, near Interstate 85.

When they arrived, police found someone dead. That person’s name has not been released and CMPD said it is investigating the circumstances surrounding the death.

No other information has been released.

Reagan Drive was closed between Graham Street and Sugar Creek Road while detectives investigated.
