Alex Murdaugh’s defense attorney proposed the Richland County Courthouse in Columbia as the site for the murder retrial.
Murdaugh is charged with killing his wife and son.
Last week, Channel 9 reported that a venue had not yet been chosen.
The judge in the case does not believe Murdaugh can receive a fair trial in Colleton County, where the original trial was held.
