INDIAN LAND, S.C. — A Baltimore-based firm is set to begin its first project in South Carolina after acquiring a 24-acre site.
St. John Properties Inc. plans to break ground on a nearly 90,000-square-foot speculative flex development in Indian Land this year, said regional partner Alaina Kiewit, who runs the firm’s Charlotte office.
That development will be called Carolina Crossing. The land is near the intersection of Collins Road and Carolina Highway, across the street from Indigo at Cross Creek Apartments.
The firm paid $1.8 million on Oct. 1 to acquire the land, Lancaster County records show. The land is currently vacant and wooded.
Carolina Crossing will have two flex industrial buildings and one office structure. The industrial buildings will be 45,120 and 29,040 square feet. The office building will be 13,600 square feet.
