GUILFORD COUNTY, N.C. — A small earthquake was recorded early Tuesday in Guilford County. The quake was felt around 1:29 a.m. in the Greensboro area.
The epicenter was located about 2.5 miles northwest of Forest Oaks, just off of Interstate 85, according to the U.S. Geological Survey.

It was a relatively weak earthquake, registering at a 2.3 magnitude, which is on the lower end of the Richter Scale.
Although several people reported feeling tremors, no damage has been reported.
