CORNELIUS, N.C. — Ramsey Creek Beach in Cornelius will not open on Memorial Day Weekend because of the drought.
Chopper 9 Skyzoom flew over the beach Tuesday, where more of the sand is exposed.
Officials say the water level at the swimming area and beach is too low for people to use it safely.
