STANLY COUNTY, N.C. — A Duke football player is trying to recover from head injuries after crashing on a personal watercraft.
Duke officials said sophomore Blair Holliday crashed into another player on Lake Tillery in Stanly County Wednesday.
Holliday was airlifted to UNC Chapel Hill hospital and is in critical condition.
According to the university's website, Holliday is from Sherman Oaks, Calif. He played in 10 games for the Blue Devils at wide receiver in 2011.
