CHARLOTTE — A former detention officer with the Mecklenburg County Sheriff’s Office is suing Sheriff Garry McFadden.
Carmen Tillman claims McFadden fired her after she accused male co-workers and supervisors of sexual harassment.
The alleged incidents happened in 2023.
In a statement, the sheriff’s office said Tillman’s accusations were reviewed and resolved by Internal Affairs.
