CHARLOTTE — Alena Kremerava cleans the restroom in Terminal C at Charlotte Douglas International Airport, but travelers say the impact she’s making goes far beyond the sparkling facilities.
She’s worked at North Carolina’s busiest airport for nearly 20 years. Over the course of her career, passengers who have crossed her path say her kindness and positive attitude have made a lasting impression.
Visitors are so impressed by her, they’re taking selfies and posting compliments on social media.
One of those people is Jeri Cameron from Ohio.
“She exhibited such exuberance for life and her job, for doing right and making people’s encounters positive ones,” he said.
But Kremerava humbly told Channel 9’s Erika Jackson she’s simply doing her job.
“I feel good,” she said. “I’m happy inside. I make good day for people.”
And travelers passing through appreciate her, bringing a little joy to a place nobody expects to find it.
