Fair ride involved in deadly accident in Ohio now in the Carolinas

CATAWBA COUNTY, N.C. — A ride identical to the one that made national headlines last year after a deadly accident in Ohio is now in the Carolinas.

The Catawba County Fair opened its gates Wednesday evening where that ride, now called the Cyclops, is up and running.

The ride that was called the Fireball came apart last summer at the Ohio State Fair, killing a teenager.
