CHARLOTTE — Charlotte-Mecklenburg Schools anticipates 140,000 students for the 2026-27 school year, beginning August 25.
To facilitate a smooth start, CMS encourages families needing bus transportation to complete the district’s Intent to Ride process by June 5.
This process aids CMS Transportation in planning routes and assigning student transportation for the first day.
