CHARLOTTE, N.C. — Family and friends will hold a candlelight vigil Monday to remember an East Mecklenburg High School student who was shot and killed in south Charlotte last year.

Police said Carlos Olguin got into an argument with senior Chris Allen while at a party on Kelford Lane and shot him four times.

Olguin is charged with murder.

The vigil will be held Monday night outside the Allen family’s southeast Charlotte home.
