Food Network-featured bakery snags space for third location

CHARLOTTE — BW Sweets Bakery has snapped up its third location in the Charlotte market.

The popular dessert bar and bakery — featured on Food Network’s “Girl Scout Cookie Championship” last year — expects to open that roughly 1,000-square-foot shop in late May at Beatties Ford Road and LaSalle Street.

It will be part of an 8,200-square-foot redevelopment planned by E-Fix Development Corp.

“I’ve seen Beatties Ford go through its changes over the years. I want to definitely pour into that community,” says Frankie White, BW’s owner.
