CHARLOTTE, N.C. — Mecklenburg County’s fired Department of Social Services director finally finished her fight to get her job back Wednesday night.
“I have positive feelings,” said Mary Wilson, who was fired last month. “I’ve had a lot of community support. I have my family and friends with me.”
The county has not said why Wilson was fired. The review board has three days to make a ruling on her appeal, but the county manager has the final say.
