GASTON COUNTY, N.C. — A Gaston County man is facing multiple charges after police say a months-long investigation into cocaine trafficking led to the seizure of drugs, cash and three firearms.
Howard Thomas Boulware, 44, of Dallas, North Carolina, was arrested Wednesday, Nov. 4, by the Gaston County Police Department’s Special Investigations Unit.
Detectives seized more than half a pound of cocaine, marijuana, MDMA and $600 in cash during the investigation. Police also seized three firearms, including an AR-15-style pistol equipped with a 60-round magazine.
Boulware was on parole in Georgia at the time of his arrest and is a convicted felon, according to police. He is being held at the Gaston County Jail without bond.
He faces charges of possession of a firearm by a felon, trafficking in cocaine, possession of marijuana with intent to manufacture, maintaining a vehicle and dwelling for the sale of controlled substances, and possession of MDMA.
The Gaston County Police Department said it remains committed to combating illegal drugs and firearms through investigations and coordination.
