Great white shark “Freya’ revisits the Carolinas

MYRTLE BEACH, S.C. — The Carolinas received another visit from its great white shark friend Freya last week, according to reports from WPDE.

Freya, who is nearly 12 feet long, was tagged by Ocearch in March of 2021.

On Wednesday, the company reported the great white shark had recently pinged just off the coast of Myrtle Beach.

They said it was a z-ping, which means the tag didn’t occur above water long enough to get an exact location.
