CONCORD, N.C. — A popular vacation resort in Concord, N.C., was evacuated Wednesday after smoke was reported in a building.
Concord Fire Department crews responded to the Great Wolf Lodge shortly before 11 a.m. The resort was evacuated as a precaution, fire officials said.
According to fire investigators, the smoke came from an overheated fan that had melted the surrounding wiring.
No one was injured in the incident.
Employees and guests have been allowed back into the resort, officials said.
