Here’s the Charlotte area’s priciest home sale in April

CHARLOTTE — Each of Mecklenburg County’s 10 most expensive home sales in April topped the $3 million mark for another month. That was led by a $7.5 million sale in the Foxcroft neighborhood of Charlotte.

The Foxcroft home — on the 3900 block of Beresford Road — sold in an off-market transaction. Canopy Realtor Association confirmed the sale had not been recorded in its multiple listing service.

The 10,000-plus-square-foot home was built in 2013 after the property sold for $945,000 the prior year, according to Mecklenburg County real estate records. It houses six bedrooms, six full bathrooms and two half-bathrooms. Its 0.65-acre lot includes a pool and spa.

A little more than a half-mile away, another Foxcroft home sold with a hefty price tag in April. Built in 1977 but fully renovated, that home on the 2500 block of Beretania Circle sold for $5.2 million.

Each month, American City Business Leads, a division of CBJ parent company American City Business Journals, pulls Mecklenburg County’s top home deeds based on sale price. Additional details about the properties come from county real estate records, the listing brokerage and Realtor.com.

Homes featured in the roundups represent the 10 most expensive residential sales recorded in the county that month. Similar to April, each home on the March list surpassed $3 million.
