MINERAL SPRINGS, N.C. — The St. Jude team and Four Oaks Builders held a ceremonial groundbreaking for a new St. Jude Dream Home in Mineral Springs.
Work is already underway on what will be a more than 3,000-square-foot home. Current plans call for a four-bedroom, 4.5 bath home with a mother-in-law suite, office and 300-foot driveway in Union County.
Last year was the Four Oaks team’s first Dream Home, and they’re just as excited for round two.
“We’ve actually shared with more people what we’re doing and more people have jumped on board so we expect more giving, more support, spreading the opportunity among a lot of people who want to participate in this work,” Chris Duncan with Four Oaks Builders said.
“It does have a Monroe address but we are within 2 minutes of downtown mineral springs. So it’s a very convenient location in Union County. You’re close to Monroe, you’re close to Wesley Chapel, you’re close to Weddington,” Andy Suttle with Four Oaks Builders said.
Tickets for a chance to win the Dream Home will go on sale next year. Proceeds will benefit St. Jude Children’s Research Hospital, helping the hospital provide lifesaving care to children at no cost to their families.
