UNION COUNTY, N.C. — A teacher at a high school in Union County has been charged with a sex crime with a student, officials said.
The Monroe Police Department received information on May 25 about 35-year-old Cory McDowell, who works as an English teacher at Central Academy of Technology and Arts.
After investigating, police arrested McDowell on June 9 and charged him with indecent liberties by a teacher with a student.
No other details have been released at this point.
