Hornets game postponed due to health, safety concerns, NBA officials say

CHARLOTTE — The NBA game between the Washington Wizards and the Charlotte Hornets scheduled for Wednesday has been postponed to comply with the league’s health and safety protocols, officials said.

The game was scheduled to start at 7 p.m. at the Spectrum Center in uptown.

NBA officials did not release further details on the decision.

The Hornets returned to the court in December for the first half of the schedule, which runs between Dec. 22 and March 4.

The team began the season with no fans at the games due to COVID-19.
