MOORESVILLE, N.C. — Davidson-based Ingersoll Rand Inc. is looking for a new headquarters — but it isn’t looking far.
Spokeswoman Misty Zelent says the company is looking along the Interstate 77 corridor from Mooresville to Huntersville. That infers it’s a well-focused search along about 16 miles.
The company plans to leave its Beaty Street headquarters, where 450 people currently work, by mid-July, Zelent says.
It is reconsidering its space after implementing remote-work policies in response to the COVID-19 pandemic.
Zelent says some employees may also be moved to its Charlotte Distribution and Logistics Center and its manufacturing facility in Mocksville.
