IREDELL COUNTY, N.C. — The Iredell County Sheriff’s Office is investigating a suspicious death after a body was found beside a parked vehicle in northern Iredell County.
Deputies discovered the body next to a car parked on the side of the road with its door open near the intersection of Sandy Springs Road and Renegar Road.
Authorities advised residents and drivers to avoid the area and use alternate routes while deputies conduct their investigation.
The sheriff’s office noted that some roadways in the vicinity may be closed during the response.
