MOORESVILLE, N.C. — Edward Snyder, of Davidson, is rolling into the new year with some extra loot.

He hit the $1,063,165 Cash 5 lottery jackpot after buying a ticket at the Food Lion on Shearer Road in Mooresville. Snyder said he went to the store to buy ingredients for goulash.
