Judge sets $300K bond for Lincolnton man charged with juvenile sex offense

LINCOLNTON, N.C. — A 35-year-old Lincolnton man was arrested Saturday in connection with charges involving sexual activity with a juvenile, according to the Lincoln County Sheriff’s Office.

Desmond Marquise Jones, of Lincolnton, was taken into custody following an investigation by local authorities.

A judge set Jones’ bond at $300,000 secured during his first court appearance on Monday. He was initially held with no bond after his arrest.

The Lincoln County Sheriff’s Office is continuing to investigate the case.
