KANNAPOLIS, N.C. — Kannapolis police have cleared the scene after an abandoned brief case was found near a vehicle Wednesday afternoon.
Police had locked down the parking lot of the Cloverleaf Plaza in Kannapolis along with Rowan-Cabarrus Community College's Cloverleaf Campus.
Other businesses in the plaza also closed for the afternoon.
As a precaution, the College's Cloverleaf Campus will be closed and all Cloverleaf classes will be canceled until Thursday morning.
No other Rowan-Cabarrus campuses are affected.
All other locations will conduct normal class schedules tonight. For further information, contact the Kannapolis Police Department or Dusty Saine, Rowan-Cabarrus Site Director.
