CHARLOTTE — The Charlotte-Mecklenburg Police Department is charging the owner of a car that was shot into over the weekend near a north Charlotte nightclub.
Police said the car belongs to Peter Faaita. Investigators said after the triple shooting, he drove the vehicle to Novant Health Presbyterian Medical Center.
While officers were processing the car at the hospital, police said Faaita accessed the vehicle and removed items from it despite being told not to do it.
He has been charged with resisting arrest.
No one has been charged in connection with the shooting.
