LANCASTER COUNTY, S.C. — A man who stabbed and killed another man in Lancaster County earlier this month won't be charged because it was self-defense, deputies said.
Charles Arant, 29, was stabbed outside his home just before midnight on Dec. 15 on Lynwood Drive off Airport Road.

He was taken to a hospital where he later died.
Arant and his wife were having marital problems, according to detectives.
Arant started beating a car, occupied by his wife and another man, with a bat.
Authorities said the man stabbed Arant once in the torso and drove off.
Officials cited the "stand your ground law" in the decision to not charge the man.
