2 adults, 1 juvenile arrested in Anson County deadly shooting

ANSON COUNTY, N.C. — Deputies in Anson County are investigating a homicide after the man was shot and killed as he drove on Airport Road in Wadesboro on March 17, according to the sheriff’s office.

Deputies identified the victim as 19-year-old Tony Ahmad Gainey from Wadesboro.

Two adults and a juvenile were arrested in the case, the sheriff stated Friday.

Their names were not released.

The sheriff’s office is holding a news conference Monday morning with more information.
