Around midnight, the victim said he was walking along South Brevard Street between Martin Luther King Jr. Boulevard and Third Street, when he was hit in the neck and stomach.

The man called 911 and was told there have been 40 similar complaints.

“These guys were apparently going all over the place, even down to South End,” he said.
