Mecklenburg County sees early start to flu season; officials urge vaccinations

CHARLOTTE — Channel 9’s Evan Donovan spoke with Dr. Lis Pordes, the interim medical director for Mecklenburg County Public Health, Wednesday.

Flu and respiratory illness activity has already begun in Mecklenburg County, and health officials are urging the public to protect each other against flu, COVID-19 and RSV illnesses ahead of the holiday season.
