CHARLOTTE — A person was hurt after being hit by a train Thursday evening near Tremont Avenue and Camden Road in South End.
Officials confirmed the train struck a pedestrian, prompting a response from the Charlotte-Mecklenburg Police Department and MEDIC.
MEDIC said the person was treated for minor injuries and transported to a local hospital.
Authorities have not released additional details about how the incident occurred, and the investigation remains ongoing.
