Mixed-income housing planned in north Charlotte

CHARLOTTE, N.C. — A Charlotte developer that’s waded into the affordable-housing space during the past few years has targeted a site in north Charlotte for a future project.

Crosland Southeast recently filed a rezoning petition to build up to 156 apartments on an 8.7-acre site at 6230 Statesville Road, near Nevin Community Park. Plans call for units that are affordable to households earning between 30% and 80% of the area median income, according to a site plan filed with the petition.
