CHARLOTTE — A Charlotte commercial real estate firm is eyeing a site in Wilmore for a mixed-use project.

Abacus Capital this week filed a rezoning petition with the city to build up to 325 residential units, either single family or multifamily, and 61,000 square feet of commercial space at an 8.7-acre site between Toomey and Tremont avenues.
A mix of new construction and adaptive reuse is being sought, according to the petition.
