CHARLOTTE — A site plan and plat approval request for the new Carolina Panthers headquarters and training facility has been submitted to the Rock Hill planning commission, which will consider the request at its virtual meeting on Tuesday evening.
LandDesign, a Charlotte-based design firm, submitted the site plan for the Panthers. It includes the most detailed look yet at some aspects of the development project, which is expected to be the largest in the history of York County once fully built out.
The site plan includes a 639,824-square-foot practice facility and a 111,821-square-foot sports and entertainment venue, according to planning commission documents. The first phase of the development includes the practice facility, entertainment venue and main road network at the site. Documents show 13,325 feet of new public streets being built at the 240.7-acre project site.
