More development ahead for South Tryon corridor in South End

CHARLOTTE, N.C. — Two sites near South Tryon Street in Charlotte’s South End are up for rezoning, signaling more development for the rapidly changing corridor.

Charlotte-based The Providence Group has filed a petition for the corner of South Tryon and Dunavant streets, while Ram Realty Services, based in Florida with a Charlotte office, has a petition out for a site at 421 W. Tremont Ave., behind the 2100 South Tryon development.

Both rezoning petitions are conventional requests for transit-oriented development zoning.
