CHARLOTTE, N.C. — A for-sale townhouse project is taking shape in an area of South End gaining traction for new development.

The project, called Altura SouthEnd, will add 31 townhouses at about 1,800 square feet each at 1120 S. Mint St., between West Palmer Street and West Carson Boulevard, just off Interstate 277. The site in Charlotte’s Gold District backs up to South Graham Street.
