CABARRUS COUNTY, N.C. — Several roads across Cabarrus County are set for more than $3 million in improvements, including resurfacing, shoulder repairs, rumble strips and new pavement markings.

The work will take place on:
- N.C. 200: Stanly County line to U.S. 601 in Concord
- Cabarrus Avenue W.: Powder Street to U.S. 601 in Concord
- Bethel School Road: N.C. 24/27 to U.S. 601 in Midland
- Old Camden Road: N.C. 24/27 to the railroad tracks in Midland
- St. John’s Church Road: N.C. 73 to Gold Hill Road in Concord
- Skyland Drive: N.C. 73 to N.C. 49 in Mount Pleasant
- Armentrout Drive: U.S. 601 to the end of the road in Concord
- Commerce Drive SW: Webb Road to the end of the road in Concord
The contractor has until spring 2028 to complete the work.
Some lane closures will be restricted to minimize traffic impacts. Closures on N.C. 200 and Bethel School Road will be limited to off-peak hours, while work on Cabarrus Avenue W. will require overnight closures.
The contract also restricts lane closures during holiday travel periods and other times when heavy traffic is expected.
