MADISON COUNTY, N.C. — A North Carolina school district's superintendent has been suspended with pay after a DWI arrest.
Dr. Todd Holden is the superintendent of the Madison County Schools north of Asheville.
Investigators arrested Holden over the weekend and said his blood-alcohol level was .13 percent.
The community reaction has been mixed.
"I think for a superintendent of schools to be pulled over for drinking and driving is serious,” one person said.
"You’re innocent until proven guilty. That's the way it should be," another person said.
Holden has been superintendent for only about eight months.
