CHARLOTTE, N.C. — A Chicago-based hospitality group is adding another cocktail bar to a growing tenant list at this $60 million project in Charlotte's Optimist Park neighborhood.

Folkart Management is bringing The Spindle Bar to the food hall at Optimist Hall near uptown. The 18-seat bar will feature a cocktail menu with fruit-forward flavors and creative spins on classic pairings. It will serve draft cocktails, beer and wine in addition to nonalcoholic beverages. Local beer and seasonal draft drinks also will be stocked on a vintage mobile cocktail truck.

Described in a press release as an "all-day destination for easy-drinking cocktails," The Spindle Bar is meant to offer "a relaxed drinking option for both guests who want to sit and those who want to wander" through the food hall.

It's expected to open in late summer along with the food hall's first group of tenants.
