North Carolina bus driver caught on video putting students in danger

FORSYTH COUNTY, N.C. — New video shows a bus driver putting North Carolina students in danger.

The Forsyth County bus driver dropped the students off, but the bus’s stop sign wasn’t out and its lights weren’t on.

A driver in another car posted the video after stopping behind the bus.

School district officials saw the video and said they are investigating the incident.

"Our bus drivers are given extensive direction on these procedures as set forth in the state-required driver training,” officials said in a statement.

No children were injured in the incident, but there were several serious crashes at bus stops across the country in the past week.

A bus driver hit seven people in Tampa on Thursday while students and adults were waiting at a bus stop. That same day, a 7-year-old was killed in a hit-and-run crash in Pennsylvania. A bus driver hit four children in Indiana on Tuesday, killing three of them.
