CARY, N.C. — Since the beginning of the pandemic, most people have been trying to find things to do while places are closed and curfews are set.

A Cary teenager created a board game that could bring families and people closer together. The game is designed for participants to race to be the first to get the COVID-19 vaccine.
Casey Blackert, 17, has a medical condition that causes her to isolate herself in her room.
She used her time to create board games for fun on paper. That’s when she decided to create the “Race to the Vaccine” board game.
