MOUNT PLEASANT, S.C. — Officials said a standoff in Mount Pleasant, South Carolina has ended peacefully.
An armed man barricaded himself inside a country club in Mount Pleasant, causing a standoff with police, according to sister station ABC News 4.
The man has not been charged and will be taken to the hospital for a mental evaluation, officials said.
Police said the situation at the Charleston National County Club started as a welfare check Sunday afternoon.
Another standoff in North Charleston lasted for hours when a woman barricaded herself in her home and threatened to hurt herself, officials said. Police have now resolved the situation.
