CHARLOTTE — Another big real estate deal tied to the Carolina Panthers has been the topic of chatter on the web this week. This nearly $5.4 million residential sale involves David Tepper, the owner of the NFL franchise as well as Charlotte’s soon-to-debut Major League Soccer club, and, in an interesting twist, a former Panthers coach.

Mecklenburg County property records show John Fox and wife Robin sold the home on Baltusrol Lane in Quail Hollow on Sept. 29 to DNCooper LLC, an entity linked to Tepper.
