Panthers serve community during fifth annual ‘Keep Pounding Day’

CHARLOTTE — Players and staff from the Carolina Panthers volunteered for service projects across the Carolinas on Friday.

For the fifth straight year, the Panthers held “Keep Pounding Day,” which is a day set aside to serve the community. The projects addressed housing and outreach for military members and seniors.

Some players made pancakes to serve at a local senior home and others served Charlotte communities.

“There is some deep-rooted history, being some natives of other cities and their history with other teams,” Panthers guard Austin Corbett said pf the experience.. “It’s fun to go back and forth with who their favorite team is. It’s been awesome.”

In addition to serving in the Charlotte area, players and staff served in Camden, South Carolina and Fort Bragg.
