HUNTERSVILLE, N.C. — A person is dead after a serious crash Saturday evening on Interstate 77 in Huntersville, officials said.
The incident happened around 7:30 p.m. on I-77 northbound near Hambright Road.
According to MEDIC, the person was walking when they were hit by a car. The person was pronounced dead at the scene. Their identity has not been released.
Interstate 77 is closed at the I-485 exit while officials investigate the scene.
No other details have been released.
