16-year-old boy charged with murder week after man shot to death in north Charlotte

CHARLOTTE — Charlotte-Mecklenburg police arrested and charged a 16-year-old boy Monday after a man was shot to death in north Charlotte last week.

Officers were called on Oct. 17 to assist MEDIC on Aulton Link Court just before 12:30 a.m. When they arrived, police said they found Damian Oliver, 42, who had been shot.

MEDIC pronounced Oliver dead at the scene.

Police have not released a motive behind the murder.
