HICKORY, N.C. — A man's body was found lying in the parking lot of a car wash in Hickory Saturday. Henry Hunsucker, 43, had died of an apparent stab wound sometime before 2 p.m. Hickory police say they then found the suspect nearby and have charged Roger Frenceschini with first-degree murder.
Frenceschini, 53, has a long criminal history. He's been arrested before for reckless driving, DWI, drug possession, felony breaking and entering and larceny. His record dates back to 1977.
Hickory police were called to the Robo Car Wash on 11th Ave at 2:00 p.m. People who live nearby told Channel 9 the area around the car wash is nice, but they weren't totally surprised that a crime was committed.
"There's a very nice restaurant across the street, one of the nicest restaurants in town," Julie Palmer said. "And of course the high school is over there."
Frenceschini is being held without bond. He's expected in court on Monday. He's also facing an intoxicated and disruptive charge in court on Sept. 4.
